Itinerary description
We hit the water at about 0620 and thought the tide was pretty high, but it kept coming in for about the next 3 hours. I do believe sea level rise is happening in the Gulf. There was wind across the open water, but it was still among the mangroves.
This is a marked trail, but we took a few side trips. Not much wildlife--just a manatee and some ducks and spoonbills flying overhead. I think they were probably looking for air conditioning.
