Itinerary description
Quick trip on the Ocmulgee starting and ending at Popes ferry(upstream).
Dane's Ferry water gauge was at 3.9ft and most rocks were submerged. Too much lower and it would be impassible going upstream. Any higher and upstream travel would present no effort until Dane's ferry. At this level, downstream travel was fast with only a few Class I rapids. nearer 3.5 ft these would be class II rapids.
