Itinerary description
The water level of the Pemigewasset River up river of the Ayers Island Dam in Bristol, New Hampshire is regulated by Eversource hydro group. In September and October of 2015 Eversource dropped the water level 7' in order to perform repairs on the dam. Coincidentally, the satellite imagery obtained during this time was used to update Google Maps. This provided a unique opportunity to get a depth profile of the river between the dam and Sahegenet Falls. The yellow track was drawn on the low water photograph as posted on Google Maps on 11/8/2015. When the map is updated in the future it is unlikely to be from photos taken at a low water point. As of 11/6/2015 the water was back to normal levels.
