Itinerary description
Today I visited Indian Fields Mound. It's a short paddling trip on the St. Johns River that leads almost to the base of the mound. From here it was a short hike to the top of the mound where I did a little exploring. I only saw a small amount of shells, most have been covered with soil. I also read that there is an ancient burial site here, but I couldn't find anything (yet) about remains that had been recovered.
