Itinerary description
We visited the Eagle's nest on 13 Feb 2021 and took pictures, which were posted on this site. When we visited the nest on 12 Jun 2021, it was gone. The whole tree was gone after a storm. We went back today to see if the Eagles had built another nest and to check if they had posted their permit from Collier County. (Just joking). The nest is in a live pine tree on the east side of the next bay to the south. We got videos and pictures.
Great trip - got a video of a raccoon and ducks and saw quite a bit of wildlife. I just happened to have the camera pointed at the tree the raccoon was in when he saw us and unassed the area. There was an extremely high tide this morning, starting to flow out as we returned.
Only a few tour groups were there when we returned, but it was a weekday.
