Itinerary description
If you open the track on the aerial to the whole screen, you'll see a cut (pass) at the NW corner of McIlvane Bay that opens to a large body of water. It's a while since we were back there, so we decided to look.
The first photo shows Venus and Jupiter looking close together. They're not. Today was another beautiful day to enjoy the local waterways. There were lots of fish but very few birds, and the tide was low, so we figured the birds would be feeding. They weren't.
Anyway, we worked as far north in the bays as we could. The last few videos show the launch area on our return. Last Saturday, we counted 77 paddlecraft (almost all kayaks), and today we only counted 72. We're torn between wanting more folks to explore our waterways and wondering when it's too many. It would be nice to have more launch facilities. The only saving grace is that we launch at zero-dark-thirty and go where few others do.
