Itinerary description
We went out to this area because of the flocks of birds that gather here. The water level is dropping because of the lack of rain, and the shallow water attracts the birds. We also made a few sides trips into nearby lakes and marshes to see if they were still accessible.
There was a fog in the background for much of the trip. The temperature was in the 60s, and a slight breeze picked up later in the morning. We did see a lot of birds.
