Itinerary description
We took it easy this morning. A nice slow paddle around the National Wildlife Refuge, looking to see if there was any wildlife there. We saw fish, and there's probably a 95% chance they were all mullet. It fascinates me that mullets are in such numbers so far from the Gulf.
If you want to go, now's the time. The marsh is flooded, so you can pretty much paddle anywhere. Just remember where the sun rises and sets; if all else fails, be very still and listen for the traffic. That's north.
