Itinerary description
This is the third of the National Wildlife Refuge canoe trails between Collier Seminole and Port of the Islands on the south side of US41. There's a reflector if you approach it in the dark, and there's a sign marking Trail 3. Parking is off the road shoulder but pull as far away from the traveled lane as you can.
Trail 3 is well marked with tall, 4" PVC pipes, but where the trail turns west (right), we went east (left) and then south across some marshes and through some tunnels. We marked the trail with pink flagging.
The paddle is easy, but the navigation is moderately difficult.
