Itinerary description
11.2 statute miles. Two relatively easy portages with slight grades to exit and enter the water. All three boats in the sea kayak class beat last years winning time.
Before I had been there I figured it would be noisy, dusty and dirty water. But the whole way was quite pleasant, particularly between mile 2 and the turning mark.
Blessing of the Bay is very nice and the crown including 600+ runners was quite festive.
