Itinerary description
Marco Jolley Capri Sea Oats & Hurricane Pass - Departed on a low tide and paddled in the dark out to Sea Oats. The incoming current was fairly strong to the extent when we stopped at Hurricane Pass the current was pulling us into the pass. We paddled under the Capri Tunnell and the tide had risen sufficiently that the passage left little head room. One kayaker capsized inside the tunnel and was able to do a wet exit in the tunnel. The exit area was sufficiently shallow so he was able to reenter without assistance. We returned via the Marco River on a pretty strong flood tide.
