Itinerary description
We headed out with a strong tide in the dark and paddled to Hideway Cove. The outgoing current was very strong and propelled us to the cove entrance. Here the current changes since we are heading inward. We went into the cove then turned and paddled across the Marco River ot the Capri side. The current heading toward the Tarpon Channel and current across the river was very strong. Once in Tarpon bay the current subsided. We took the cut back to the river and battled the current under the bridge and back to shore. Tarpon definitely cut the current returning to the Bridge.
