Itinerary description
this is a great place to launch. The park is well maintained with trails, bathrooms, picnic tables, and Intrepretive info. The launch is very muddy at low tide, but at higher tides it's fine if a bit steep. The only drawback is the gate closes at 6pm in the summer and 5pm the rest of the year. a good alternate launch is the Lewis & Clark boat ramp up the road. (no facilities)
the river is beautiful & clean. the further upstream the lusher the vegitation. The trip can easily take 6 hours if you want. We had to turn ground earlier than we wanted because of the gate closing.
I highly recommend this river trip !
