Lake Willoughby is five miles in length, a total of 1653 acres in size, with a maximum depth of 320 feet. It is one of the deepest lakes in the northeastern United States. It resembles a fjord with the rocky faces of Mount Pisgah and Mount Hor flanking its southern end.
