The Ohře (or in German: the Eger) is especially popular because it is similar to the Vltava (Moldau). However, the Ohře offers more peace on the water and the environment is quieter. In addition, the river offers many small rapids. The river meanders alternately through open countryside and densely forested nature reserves. Regularly along the route cultural historical sights (cities, castles, castles) can be admired. One of the highlights is the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary.
Especially during the weekends it is extra busy. If you want to avoid the crowds then choose a weekday.
