Itinerary description
I started out near the Isle of Capri fire station. From there I headed north/northeast across the bay into the mangroves. Once in the mangroves I weaved my way around up to The Woods. My timing was bad and it was low tide. The further north I got the more I had to get out of my kayak and walk. Once I started heading West I did not have to get out any more.
Before I set out I drew my path on Wikiloc's website. I had a few areas I was worried about. Especially the Whites River area found on the far west side of this trip. The southern creek is the one that worried me a little because Google Earth did not show a clear cut path. But even in low tide it was easy to navigate through these channels.
Very nice trip. If you do something similar to this make sure you time the tides better than I did. Enjoy.
