Itinerary description
Started at the western edge of the Parkway and kayaked under the bridge to the middle section of the park. On some maps it looks like you can paddle between and around the islands but you can't for the most part as the islands are connected by causeways not bridges. A few birds, nice scenery, plenty of places to stop and eat or swim. Clear water in shallower sections. Sheltered from the winds most of the time. Getting back under the bridge against the current and wind is the hardest part of the kayak.
