We continue enjoying the beautiful cruise through Hạ Long Bay and it is time to visit another idyllic place, the Luon Cave and its Monkey Lake, which can only be accessed by crossing the aforementioned cave. To visit this place, you have to get on the kayak and work a little!
START:
We arrive at the dock where we will abandon the boat to get into the kayak, ready to explore this beautiful place. From the pier itself, Luon Cave, the gateway to the lake, is already visible.
DESCRIPTION:
Once in the kayak, we have to paddle for a few seconds to get closer to the entrance to Luon Cave. It is a low cave, perhaps claustrophobic, but not far away. Just a few minutes are enough to overcome Luon Cave.
After leaving the beautiful cave behind, we arrive at Monkey Lake, a large lake where the well-known monkeys of Hạ Long Bay live. Let's see if we see them!
A visit to Monkey Lake is not to be missed, it is a circular lake and not very large, so it is very easy to explore it by kayak. We are in another of the tourist areas, so we see a lot of people browsing.
We approached the left bank and began to see monkeys, very funny, playing on the shore. It is not advisable to get too close, as they have a reputation for being aggressive animals. The place is beautiful, but there is a lot of dirt. The currents bring all the garbage into this beautiful lagoon, remaining on the surface and causing a rather dirty appearance. A shame...
We continue along Monkey Lake, following a family of monkeys that run around the lower part of the island. We enjoy while we paddle and go all the way around.
After completing the turn, we return to the area where we found the monkeys, where we once again enjoy their company. Without a doubt, they are very friendly, curious and worthy of admiration animals...
After visiting Monkey Lake, we leave the lake through Luon Cave, now in the opposite direction and close to the left, as we advance.
We left the cave and, in a few seconds, we arrived at the dock where we started the route, ending it.
CONCLUSION:
Another of the most touristic and beautiful visits to Hạ Long Bay. A beautiful kayak trip through a spectacular environment. It's a shame about the large amount of garbage we found. Otherwise, a perfect route to enter the beautiful Luon Cave and meet the monkeys that live in Monkey Lake, animals worth knowing!
