Itinerary description
This is a great flatwater paddle with excellent bird watching. I saw large numbers of great egrets, great blue herons, green herons and various birds of prey. On Bull Run you feel miles from anywhere...until you get close to the Fairfax Rod and Gun Club, which jolts you out of your reverie, but this is really a wonderful place to paddle.
