Itinerary description
Launch just below the Falls Dam to add the challenge of having to run the first 1/4 mile of class 2+. Did this trip with a release of 850cfs from the mad, and after a rainy night, so the volume grew as the miles piled up. It might be faster to do this with a larger release, but it can be intimidating to run the first 1/4 mile in a sea kayak at 3k cfs! ;-)

Did this in a vintage Looksha IV Necky sea kayak at 850 CFS release from Falls Dam, after a rainy day. The main hazard are the big logjams in some of the bridges. You really have to be very careful about these. The river slows down quite a bit after Poole Rd. access.
