Itinerary description
Launch is at the East River launch area south side of US 41. Coming east from Naples it's 5 miles past Port of the Islands. The cutoff is poorly marked, but it's a quarter-mile past the rest area on the south side. There are a small launch fee and Port-o-Potty and limited parking away from the US-41 right of way, but you can park on the side of US-41.
Clearing deadfall from a trail that loops back toward the marsh and then Wrong Way Lake. There's a "T" in the East River trail just south of the big lake. The river goes left (east) but we took "...the path less travelled..." to the west trying to clear deadfall to complete the loop. We suspect this is the first of a few trips as we only made it a few hundred feet..
