Itinerary description
Very easy to get to, still plenty of water despite the drought and a cool escape, so don't expect summer solitude. Some skiers and tubers but not constantly tossed around. Lots of people paddling on the lake, playing in the parks and on the public piers along the shore. There are many beautiful houses crowding the shores in the privately owned sections and some sections of nice natural scenery too. Many put in choices; arrive early during the summer to use the free ones. Most of the parks charge but have more parking and some have bathrooms or rentals of various craft. Lake was full during this trip and we were able to go up the inlet creek till it got too shallow, a channel behind where we put in, as well as the (I think usually navigable) outlet creek to the barrier. There was a steady light wind from the West. Pictures are from last fall when the level was much lower and there was a stiff current getting back up the outlet creek.
