Adventoorer route review: Descent of the Yukon River by canoe, from Whitehorse to Dawson City .

Complete Wikiloc route: Descent of the Yukon River by canoe, from Whitehorse to Dawson City. 660 km.

.

The river is getting wider. In addition, the islands in the channel increase. You have to be careful not to separate and go down another path.

It dawns rainy, and a little colder than usual. I don't mind the rain, if it doesn't last all day. Fortunately, a while later it has already cleared. But it has served to refresh the atmosphere, and it is more pleasant that way.

Today we see another bear, on the right bank. There is a high slope, something common in the river. In the upper part is the forest. And there, on the edge, another black bear appears. It seems that he has seen us, because he walks with us for a long time. We go at a good pace, but he keeps up until he gets bored and abandons us.

It's good to see the bears like this, far away.

The rain comes and goes. It's a pain to get the gore out of the bag. Since everything is tied up, you have to avoid the ropes as best you can to put your hand in and dig around until you find it.

At one point, someone raises the alarm because they have seen another animal. They are usually eagles, which we are already a little fed up with. But not this time. This time it is a bug that runs along the right bank. It looks like a dog. At least it's a similar size. Then the Canadian guide realizes that he is a glutton.

A glutton! I'm not much into animals and bugs in general, but several people come on the trip who are very fond of them, and they are amazed. Apparently, coming across a wolverine is one step below seeing a pink unicorn. It must be a very difficult animal to find. Jaime Barrallo, who has made this trip almost twenty times, had never seen one.

People are ecstatic with the glutton, and the emotion lasts a long time. I'm not that amazed... I don't care if I saw it or not. It was far away, and it seemed to me like a simple animal running around. But hey, if it's so difficult to see one, I can brag about something.

I've seen a wolverine! Live!

I didn't have time to take a photo. I don't think much was seen either.

Still enjoying the vision, we ended up arriving at Isaac Creek camp. Comfortable, without many mosquitoes, and with cool views. There is also a sign warning that it is an area frequented by bears. Nobody seems worried about that. Me neither, and I'm going to take a bath.
