Arrival in the town of Vyšší Brod (long variant) or Rožmberk (short variant). In the town of Vyšší Brod you can still see a beautiful Gothic monastery from the 13th century before the canoe trip begins. Full of impressions of the medieval splendor, you paddle on calmly flowing water without many gears. On the wooded route, Rožmberk Castle rises on a steep slope. For an extensive viewing of the exhibits of historical furniture and weapons you will have to go inside anyway.

Canoeing through various weirs in the Vltava delivers nice pictures. On the way you can stop in the old village Zátoň. A small walk through this village is worthwhile. Since the 13th century remains of the city walls have been preserved. Back on the water you paddle for a few more hours until the campsite Na Pískárně. You're going to moor there.

In the evening you can visit the city of Český Krumlov. It is 8 km walk to the center. The castle with a unique theater and mask hall; the gardens and the picturesque streets of the city enchant everyone, especially when one realizes how unique the location of this city on the river bend of Vltava is. In the evening there are open air theater performances in the castle park.
