Itinerary description

We were staying at Cormoran Lodge on Lake Kivu, and kayaks were available through the hotel. We took them out on two occasions … one time to paddle out among the many islands (shown in this GPS track), and once to paddle out to watch the sunset and get a closer view of the traditional fishing boats. The kayaking was excellent, we really enjoyed it. It would be nice to take a picnic lunch and eat on one of the islands. Staff got the kayaks ready for us and took them out when we were done. Lake Kivu and the area is gorgeous, we really loved it here and would like to go back.
