Itinerary description
Neches River Rally. Easy paddle to benefit Big Thicket Association. Easy launch thanks to volunteers and carpet covering concrete launch ramp. Only shade was from Cooks Lake to Scatterman Lake.
Plenty of side paddling available, but stuck to trail for the event. Lots of free parking and clean restrooms. Only one picnic table in the shade, though.
