Itinerary description
Second day out. The river was way down as we left Dodge Falls so we only got about 1 mph from the current to about a mile above Woodsville. There it got more fun as we zipped along for about 3/4 of a mile. The much storied whirlpool was non-existent. We pulled up on the landing at woodsville and went for 45 minute walk to get a few items. My food and gear was rifled while we were gone, which I did not notice until we pulled up for lunch at Harkdale Farm. They stole booze and protein (meat/cheese) from the cooler I had lashed to the stern of my boat. Seems to me it must have been a homeless person type. At any rate, I had all of my electronics and wallet with me.
The next 5 miles is pretty quick, down to Harkdale Farm where we had lunch. The current slows down quite a bit over the next few miles. It is almost non-existant at Waits River mouth. Bugbee Landing is where we spent the night.
