Itinerary description
Capri Paddlecraft Park is a Collier County run facility with lots of parking and a protected, easy launch into a shallow bay. There's a $4.00 launch fee for paddlecraft. The west end of the bay connects to a series of mangrove islands through which there are many possible routes. This particular route heads north through a series of channels and bays. It's an easy paddle if you don't get lost. (Don't get lost!) At the northern end of the northernmost lake there's a large, occupied bald eagle's nest, but the lakes at the north end get shallow at low tide. Be careful.
