Itinerary description

This trip's launch point is the NE corner of the New Pass Bridge. From the launch, the point goes almost directly east. Pick a point on the horizon when you start. There's an island in the middle that you'll be passing just south of. We crossed the entire bay in the pitch dark and went toward a tower with red lights and corrected at the last minute to hit Marker 14.

The rest of the trip skirts the bay, and the return trip was down the middle of the bay. At low tide, there are sandbars in the middle of the bay. We scraped one on the way out in the dark and passed over a few on the return when the tide was coming in. There were no problems in higher tides.
