Itinerary description
Launch point is from east side of Estero Blvd on south side of bridge about 0.5 miles north of entrance to Lovers Key (see attached aerial).
This is an easy, 8 mile paddle but power boats can present a challenge. The markers are easily seen except the leg from Marker 24a to 29 requires dead reckoning around mangrove islands. The trip back south from Marker 31 is a three mile straightaway across open water using a high-rise as a target.
Expect to see dolphins and possibly manatees if you pay attention.
