Itinerary description
Launch is from the roadside of the north end of the first bridge out of Bonita Beach. The launch point is flat and easy. Parking can get crowded.
The trail heads south, then southeast across the southern end of Estero Bay over to Marker 3 and then enters a tidal creek where the flow can get strong and parts can be shallow over oyster bars at low tide so if you have a nice kayak paddle at your own risk. The trail makes a loop and goes back to Marker 3 and then up the east side of the Bay as far as you want. We turned at marker 6. The bay itself can get shallow at very low tides, but we've never failed to cross it.
