Itinerary description
We did this paddle on 6 Feb 2016, long before knowing about Wikiloc. The track is a reconstruction from Garmin Basecamp, but the aerials from Google Earth with the trail markers were done right after the trip. The launch is from Collier Seminole State Park, so we launched at about 0800. We marked our lunch stop with a waypoint.
We made the loop counterclockwise in case Mud Bay was impassable.
The trip was almost 14 miles, but we were so much younger then... we're older than that now. (apologies to Bob Dylan). If you look at the zoom-in of Mud Bay, you'll see that we seem to follow some "channels." That's because the bay was empty, and we were paddling through the muck that was too soft to walk on, but that was at the start of the trip, and we decided to keep going. Like I said - we're older (and smarter?... maybe?) now.
A nice paddle, but pay attention to tides.
