Itinerary description
Sand/mud launch from dirt parking lot. Nice open water kayak, moderate winds. Paddled along the southern side, out of the bay around Mariposa Key and into the cut at Moses Hole. Tide too low to get through the mangrove tunnels on the other side of the pond. Followed same return route to Bishop Harbor and accessed the tunnels from there. Oyster beds and very shallow water make the timing critical. Explored other wild areas around Bishop Harbor bay. Winds and waves quite high by afternoon - spray skirt would have been helpful.
