Itinerary description
Started at Bayou Portage Rd boat launch. Paddled out from the boat landing towards Dauterive Lake. Took a left in Bayou Grand Gueule and headed towards the levee north of Bayou Benoit. Temperatures were cool and very nice in the am but over 90 degrees and winds were very light and variable in the pm.
Saw 2 alligators around 3'- 4' feet. Paddled a couple spurs that were mostly under the canopy and were cool spaces. The trail path logged here is incomplete due to over heating equipment.
