Itinerary description
Rent a kayak by calling the number written on the storage containers. 200k for 2 hours, 300k for 3 hours, 400k for a day.
I went to the cave Duong Puong where the river cuts right through the mountain. On the way you'll meet a lot of people in motorboat doing tours.
From where you get to the river you will have to go upstream first, the way back it's downstream. My estimate is that there's about 3/4 of a knot of current, but I have no way of knowing.
I took a break at the river entrance at the Homestay where I was allowed to use the facilities and have a read.
If when going upstream you get tired you can drag the kayak for a bit along the inner shore, that's what I did for a bit. Downstream it slows you down.
I'm not trained for this at all so I put it down as difficult. It's a long day but if you're fit you should be able to do it, especially if there's 2 in the kayak and the wind is in your favor.
