Itinerary description
Ayvalık and its peninsula are great places for kayaking. With the numerous lagoons, you can easily find a calm and quiet place for paddling. Even when it's windy some parts of the lagoons are perfect for kayaking as they are surrounded by rocks and forest. Also, it is not too deep near the coast, so you will feel safe if you are not very experienced and don't want to paddle in the deep water.
The route is perfect for both beginners and more advanced kayakers. You can also cross the lagoon and make a loop. But the seaside is beautiful, so we decided to paddle near the coast.
There is also a small island (you can see a small loop on my route), which is a nesting place for numerous birds.
