Itinerary description
One of four legs of the Serene 18 Paddle Trail in Augusta, GA. Used the shuttle and launch services at Savannah Rapids Kayak Rental, another group of nice, friendly people. Really neat sights along the way, with tons of history.
Normal takeout at Lake Olmstead was closed due to dredging so had to take out further down stream at Mill Village Trailhead. This was a temporary takeout, so a little sketchy. Savannah Rapids Kayak Rental did the best they could do with what they had to work with. Couldn't get a picture of it as we had a thunderstorm blowing in with about 30mph winds and a deluge.
