Probably one of the most spectacular and hardest routes, at the same time, that I have done, basically because of the heat. From Antelope Point Marina we can rent the kayaks and access the lake directly. Accessing the canyon by kayak until at the end we find the shore, already without water, is something absolutely incredible. It is worth going on foot and observing the canyon with its spectacular shapes and colors. In our case, we did the route in the middle of summer, it is absolutely essential to bring enough water, food, sun protection and a hat. The route takes about 5 or 6 hours if we want to do it quietly, enjoy a swim in more open waters, which by the way is super cold, and eat to regain energy. Without a doubt, a brutal experience if you are in the north of Grand Canyon National Park and probably want to visit Horseshoe Bend.
