Itinerary description
6.15 Miles. Completed on 3/4/2018. Water level 7.76' @ 496 CFS on Alapaha gauge. Paddle time moving 2:10. Total time 3:34. Putting is very easy. Take out is on private land requiring permission. Take out is approx. 700 yards from road. Technical paddle with many obstacles from dead falls. A continuous mix of wide open stretches of river to the challenges of various sized tree laden flood plains changing without notice. Not recommended for novice. No portage required at this level however possibly required below 7' and definitely required multiple times below 6'.
