Itinerary description

On a warm summer morning I took an easterly course against the calm wind and rounded Hellesøy.

Vassøykalven

Wide angle view with the houses on Vassøy in the morning sun.

Deer crossing

We have deer population, which uses the islands as stepping stones. This was the first time I saw them swimming and they are quite fast. The one on the shore (left) couldn’t make up its mind while the other one emerged elegantly and walked on to the other island.
