Itinerary description
We had high water for a primarily good paddle from Big Hickory Island--26.3762, -81.8604--to a little South of Carlos Point--26.4005, -81.8788. On the way, Stan flew his drone over an island looking for an abandoned house we'd watched for years. All he spotted from the drone was a foundation. Across the channel is an area that was cleared, perhaps to remove the house. We enjoyed spotting the usual crowd of dogs with their owners at Dog Beach, along with many stand-up paddleboards and fishing kayaks. We snapped a photo of one particularly impressive setup – all we can say is that it isn't your father's fishing boat!
