Itinerary description
This morning's paddle transformed into a delightful exploration of avian diversity! After meeting Pawel and his brother, who opted to return after the middle pond, we continued with Jorge, our guest from Uruguay. Jorge's keen interest in birds led us to Rookery near Marker 32, a prime spot for observing a variety of resident and migratory species. The return journey offered an unexpected treat - a majestic manatee gliding effortlessly past our kayak. Overall, the paddle was a success on both ecological and paddling fronts, with favorable water conditions and a helpful nudge from the fair winds.
