Itinerary description
Starting early, we had time to see the stars, which meant we paddled under a waning moon for almost an hour. A fast current and stiff breeze from the southeast kept the vehicle noise in check. We had to reverse course because two of the trails had blockages. All in all, it was a lovely paddle that included a gator, several birds, a few crabs, and some no-see-ums and mosquitoes. Due to high winds, there was no drone footage.
