Itinerary description
Spring officially began March 19th, 2024, at 11:06 PM and marks the vernal equinox, when the sun crosses the celestial equator and signals the start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. There was a 7 - 10mph wind from the east and a sky full of stars. Although the temperature was in the 50s, the water was warm. The Sunrise was at about 0730 hours but was masked by the clouds. We pushed a lot of mud for most of the paddle and only saw a few birds. There were several families of raccoons along the way and a few curious fish. Most of the daylight paddle was done under cloudy skies.
