Itinerary description
Near the eagle's nest, we discovered a Cassiopeia Andromeda mud flat. The upside-down jellyfish lives in intertidal sand or mudflats, shallow lagoons, and around mangroves covering the bottom of the small area we paddled through. Two adult eagles were sitting on a limb above the nest, and there was movement in the nest that couldn't be identified from our location. Mac and Paul thought they spotted a dolphin following a small fishing boat south of us, east of Isle of Capri. Nice day to paddle. Cool wind, and the tide was headed out.
