Itinerary description
Calm easterly winds, fresh but pleasant morning temperatures - so I set the course towards Tingholmen. It is at the eastern edge of the island chain. On the way the rocks change from the Phyllite on the western islands to Gneiss in the East. The mountains move closer and you get the typical Fjord Norway impressions. Take a look at the pictures taken on the way.

Lindøysund
The previously heavily trafficked sound between Lindøy (left) and Vassøykalven. The ferries are history after the Ryfast tunnel opened.

Raudsteinskjæret
The big boulder on the Raudsteinskjæret in the distance, Lifjell in the background.

Kalvøy N
Turning into the open Høgsfjord, Kalvøy to the right. A fish farm right ahead, which also appears prominently on the aerial image map.

Tingholmen lighthouse
Even closer - Fjord Norway feeling. The different shades of the mountains always fascinate me.

Brattholmen
Enjoy the Gneiss. As the name says, the island has some steep, near vertical slopes.
