Itinerary description
This trail has it all: rough and smooth textures, sharp and smooth downhill and uphill. Wonderful views: castles, lake, vineyards and fields. It mostly uses dedicated lanes and curbs to avoid cars.
Warning: there are two spots where a downhill slope leads head on to a busy street. It’s only dangerous if you don’t control your downhill speed. You must be able to stop going downhill before doing this trail (hence the Expert only).
It starts at the Perdtemps Parking in Nyon and leads to the Prangins castle by a rough road that will test your uphill and rough terrain skills. From the castle, it heads down to the lake. The roads in Prangins are not busy and are mostly 30 zones. It feels safe, yet you must be able to control your downhill speed to fully enjoy all the nice slopes.
After the castle, beware at the end of the slope is a red light leading to a busy street.
The road to the Promenthoux beach is a gem. The texture is smooth and it feels safe. After the beach, come back and drop by the skate park to show the world your finest moves.
Take the lake road back to Nyon and enjoy the wonderful Nyon boardwalk before climbing back to the Perdtemps square. This part is truly fun for the skater who enjoys textures like cobblestones.
