• Percorso: partenza dai Prati del Sirente, Strada Provinciale 11 Sirentina, 8 Km circa dalla SS696, tra Rocca Di Mezzo e Secinaro. Salita nel bosco fuori traccia, ma esiste un sentiero più agevole, sebbene più lungo dal parcheggio. Usciti dal bosco si apre una magnifica vista sul Sirente. Imbocchiamo in salita il canale Gemello di SX (quello di DX ha poca neve). La neve inizia a quota 1.900 m circa. Diversi camosci in zona. L’uscita dal canale in cresta è semplice, sebbene presente un cornicione. Camminando verso sinistra raggiungiamo Punta Macerola, 2.258 m. Proseguiamo verso il Sirente, con vista sul famoso Tempio. Raggiungiamo il Monte Sirente, 2.348 m. Da li iniziamo la discesa del canale Maiori, calzando di nuovo i ramponi. Il sentiero in fondo al canale, girando a sx, ci riporta ad anello alle auto
• Lunghezza: 12.5 km (A/R). Dislivello: 1.250 m, da 1.190 m a 2.348 m
• Livello: Alpinistico PD- (EE in assenza di neve/ghiaccio)
• Periodo: meta’ Maggio
• Attrezzatura: ramponi, piccozza, casco, utile una corda in presenza di ghiaccio
• Route: departure from Prati del Sirente, Provincial Road 11 Sirentina, about 8 km from the SS696, between Rocca Di Mezzo and Secinaro. Climb into the woods off the track, but there is an easier path, although longer from the parking lot. Once out of the woods, a magnificent view of the Sirente opens up. We take the channel Gemello SX (left) uphill (the one on the right has little snow). The snow begins at an altitude of about 1,900 m. Several chamois in the area. The exit from the canal on the ridge is simple, although there is a cornice. Walking to the left we reach Punta Macerola, 2,258 m. We continue towards the Sirente, overlooking the famous Tempio (Temple). We reach Monte Sirente, 2,348 m. From there we begin the descent of the Maiori canal, putting on the crampons again. The path at the end of the canal, turning left, takes us back to the cars in a ring
