Abruzzo: Direttissima al monte Cagno invernale (VIDEO)

Percorso: da Rocca di Cambio, si percorre la Strada Regionale 5 bis Vestina Sarentina. 2Km dopo Cerri, verso San Martino, si parcheggia (quota 1.330 m), e si imbocca una sterrata sulla sx, segnalata da una targa in marmo, e subito si gira a dx. Aggirata la collina sulla sx (1.500 m), si lascia il sentiero seguendo l’antico muro, che conduce al canale di salita, il Muraglione. Salita agevole (35°/40°), anche se faticosa per neve a tratti morbida. Per l’uscita in cresta abbiamo scelto quella più difficile: misto roccia, ghiaccio e neve morbida, con pendenza 60°. Per questo classificato AD, ma ci sono alternative più facili. Vetta del Cagno (2.153 m) e tratto in cresta verso l’Ocre. A circa metà strada dall’Ocre, discesa a dx per il canale del Ventaglio, dopo esserci esercitati con gli ancoraggi su neve (che sarebbe stato opportuno usare prima). Visita la rifugio Acquazzese e fontanile. Rientro all’auto.

Going around the hill on the left (1,500 m), leave the path following the ancient wall, which leads to the ascent channel, the Muraglione. Easy ascent (35 ° / 40 °), even if tiring due to soft snow at times. For the ridge exit we chose the more difficult one: mixed rock, ice and soft snow, with a 60 ° gradient. For this classified AD, but there are easier alternatives. Cagno peak (2,153 m) and stretch on the ridge towards the Ocre. About halfway from the Ocre, descend to the right for the Ventaglio channel, after having practiced with the anchors on the snow (which should have been used first). Visit the Acquazzese refuge and fountain. Return to the car.
