Itinerary description
Rustic Vilella — Refugi de Robost
Started with a long descent down a gravel road to Bagà, where we stopped for water in a small park and bought bread and treats from the shop.
Just before Bagá we detoured onto a narrow track that turned out to be quite treacherous—I do not recommend this with a horse. Stay on the gravel though it is a bit more distance to wind all the way around.
Skirting around the edge of the village, we followed the asphalt road for several km, to the camping place after Bagá. Then on a great little track, crossed a small river, and rejoined the carretera on the other side.
For many km we followed this paved road. It was peaceful and there were very few cars. At L’hospitalet there are private property signs, but the track belongs to the park and is accessible to all.
Then a long but easy ascent up to the Refugi, where there is a great paddock with lots of grass and fresh water. Incredible views.
